Your Investment Options
Scarborough offers you eleven core investment options that you can select from to suit your needs. This allows you to spread your money among different types of investments, achieving the diversification that all retirement accounts need. We can show you sample investment mixes that illustrate how you can achieve this diversification and spread out the risk. At no extra cost, our retirement planning specialists can help you decide which combination of these funds might work best for you.

Scarborough's eleven core investment options
Our eleven core funds offer a range of investment options from conservative to aggressive, from small companies to large, from domestic to foreign. We carefully selected these funds after a thorough review of fund performance, degree of risk, investment managers' experience and fund expenses.

The Pimco All Asset Fund (PAAIX*) targets solid after-inflation returns, aiming to surpass the Consumer Price Index by 5% per year over the long-term. The fund actively allocates across a range of traditional and alternative asset classes which can shift in and out of favor over time. By investing in a variety of asset classes and strategies, the fund may enhance diversification, which helps manage risk. Pimco All Asset is a "fund of funds" which means the underlying investments are other Pimco funds, each representing an asset class. .pdf fact sheet

The Vanguard 500 Index Fund Signal Shares™ [1] (VIFSX*) employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Standard & Poor's 500 Index, a widely recognized benchmark of U.S. stock market performance that is dominated by the stocks of large U.S. companies. The fund attempts to replicate the index by investing in all, or substantially all of the stocks that make up the index, holding each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the index. .pdf fact sheet

The Dodge & Cox Stock Fund™ (DODGX*) seeks long-term growth of principal and income. A secondary objective is to achieve a reasonable current income. The Fund invests in a broadly diversified portfolio of common stocks that appear to be undervalued but have strong underlying financial conditions and have a favorable outlook for growth. .pdf fact sheet

The Vanguard PRIMECAP Fund Admiral Shares[1], [2] (VPMAX*) seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks of companies with above-average prospects for continued earnings growth, strong industry positions, and skilled management teams. It also may invest in companies with below-average earnings but bright prospects for earnings growth. .pdf fact sheet

The T. Rowe Price Mid-Cap Value Fund™ (TRMCX*) seeks long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in the common stocks of medium-sized companies that appear undervalued. The Fund will normally invest at least 80% of its net assets in companies whose market capitalization falls within the S&P Mid-Cap 400 Index or the Russell Mid-Cap Value Index. The Fund focuses on companies with attractive operating margins, sound balance sheets and financial management, and stock ownership by management. .pdf fact sheet

The Vanguard Explorer Fund Admiral Shares[1] (VEXRX*) seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing mainly in the stocks of smaller companies (which, at the time of purchase, typically have a market value of less than $2 billion). These companies are considered by the advisor to have above-average prospects for growth. .pdf fact sheet

The Harbor International Fund[3] (HAINX*) seeks long-term return, principally from growth of capital. The Fund will invest in foreign companies that it believes are undervalued and have an expectation of steady future earnings. The Fund management team carefully evaluates both the country and the industry in which a company operates as well as the underlying fundamentals before making an investment. The fund selects those companies they believe have the best earnings outlook. .pdf fact sheet

Cohen & Steers Institutional Realty Shares Fund (CSRIX*) seeks maximum return through both current income and capital appreciation by investing in real estate securities, primarily real estate investment trusts (REIT's). They believe that dividends provide an important part of an investment's total return and overall diversification has been the foundation of their portfolio strategies. .pdf fact sheet

The Oakmark Equity and Income Fund (OAKBX*) seeks income as well as preservation and growth of capital. The fund is primarily composed of U.S. stocks and bonds. The fund uses an "all-cap" strategy on the stock side so there is large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap stock exposure. On the bond side, the Oakmark fund invests primarily in U.S. Treasury bonds while holding small positions in Corporate and High Yield Bonds. Management keeps the stock/bond mix close to 60% / 40% and runs the fund as if it will be the only fund in the investor’s portfolio. .pdf fact sheet

The Pimco Total Return Fund (PTTRX*) seeks to maximize income and capital appreciation within a risk-controlled framework. It is a core bond fund giving investors exposure to the global fixed income markets. While it predominantly invests in Treasury Bonds, Agency Mortgages and Corporate Bonds, it also has the flexibility to invest in Inflation Protected Securities, High Yield, Emerging Market and non-US Dollar Bonds when Pimco identifies opportunities in these areas. .pdf fact sheet

The BNY Mellon Stable Value Fund™ seeks to preserve your principal investment and generate a stable rate of return. The fund invests in a diversified group of high quality, fixed-income investments consisting of debt securities that are intended to minimize market volatility. In addition, the fund invests in investment contracts that are obligations of well-known, very stable insurance companies and commercial banks as well as short-term money market instruments. .pdf fact sheet
